Important Information Regarding Employment-Based First Preference (EB-1) Visas
The State Department and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regret to announce that all available Employment-Based First Preference (EB-1) visas for fiscal year (FY) 2024 have been issued. This means that no further EB-1 visas can be issued until the beginning of FY 2025.
This limit impacts individuals with extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, and multinational executives and managers who contribute significantly to the U.S. economy. The annual limit for EB-1 visas is set by the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and is based on a percentage of the overall employment-based visa limit.
Embassies and consulates will be unable to process new EB-1 visa applications until October 1, 2024, when the annual visa limits reset for FY 2025. We appreciate your understanding.
