The U.S. Embassy in Tallinn was established in 1992, shortly after Estonia regained independence from the Soviet Union. The Embassy provides comprehensive services, including consular assistance to U.S. citizens and visa services for Estonian citizens and other foreign nationals travelling to the United States. In addition, the Embassy promotes bilateral trade and economic relations and cultural and educational initiatives. A significant part of the Embassy's work is to strengthen diplomatic ties between the U.S. and Estonia, particularly in the areas of security, technology and cyber security.
